Terms of Service
Last updated: October 6, 2026
These terms govern your use of Tokmetry, a service that measures the cost of your AI usage. By creating an account you agree to them. If you use Tokmetry on behalf of a company, you accept them for that company.
1. The service
Tokmetry records usage metadata of your AI calls (provider, model, token counts, cost, latency, status) through our SDK, CLI and API, and shows it in a dashboard with budgets and alerts. It never collects prompts, AI responses or provider API keys, as described on our Privacy page.
2. Accounts
You must give a valid email address and keep your credentials and Tokmetry API keys secret. You are responsible for the activity of your organization and its members. Only the owner of an organization can buy, change or cancel its plan.
3. Plans and payments
The Free plan needs no credit card. Paid plans are monthly subscriptions in US dollars, charged in advance and renewed automatically until cancelled. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Applicable taxes are calculated and collected by Paddle at checkout.
4. Plan changes and cancellation
You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time from Billing in your dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. When you cancel, you keep the paid plan until the end of the period you paid for, and then the organization returns to Free. A billing change never deletes your organization or its daily and monthly totals; detailed events are kept for the retention period of your current plan.
5. Acceptable use
Do not attack or overload the service, do not try to access other customers' data, do not share API keys outside your organization, do not resell the service without our written permission, and do not use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend an account that puts the service or other customers at risk.
6. Your data
The usage data you send is yours. We process it only to provide the service, as described on our Privacy page, and you can delete your projects and your organization at any time.
7. Availability
We work to keep Tokmetry available, but the service is provided as is, without a guaranteed uptime. The SDK is fail-open: if Tokmetry is unavailable, your AI calls keep working and usage data is dropped instead of slowing down your application.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
9. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we will tell you by email or in the dashboard at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel before that date.
